Major boost for Babel
The Babel project inherited about 1,000,000 string translations last week as I imported the Eclipse Platform 3.2 translation set into the Babel server. The Eclipse project, version 3.3 and the upcoming 3.4, now have over 23,000 string translations each, in about 20 languages.
Now that the bulk of the work is done for 3.3/3.4, I added a progress indicator to the list of files to make it easier to see where work needs to be done. The percentage of completeness is not shown next to each file, and files 100% complete are stuffed at the bottom of the list.

That's awesome Denis! Thanks.
I looked at some strings that are not yet translated into German. I did not feel comfortable to do a translation, because there are many possibilities how to translate a word or a term. What about a tool where you can search in all translations?
Suppose I want to translate a string like
"Enter Code Source Locations"
It would be cool if I could now search for all translations that contain the words in the string.
Maybe by clicking on the word. Or have a list with all translations that contain any of the words from the translatable string (excluding trivial stop words like "in" "this" etc). And do the same for my translation. Maybe I use a term nobody ever used -- that would make me think that my translation is not good.
With a tool like this, I am sure the quality of the translations would improve and people like me would dare to translate some strings....
Michael
Often the same string occurs over and over again. In those cases it would be cool to show how many times it has been translated to what. Maybe 8 out of 10 times Attribute has been translated as Attribut and once as Eigenschaft and once as Merkmal.
Translating single words without context is extremely difficult. This search capability would give some context.
Michael, those are great suggestions. We have enhancement requests for them, but a lack of time to implement them :-)
