Eclipse(.org) eclipsing Eclipses on Google

If you do a Google search for Eclipse, you'll get something like this:

1. Eclipse.org

2. Eclipse Downloads

3. NASA

Youtube plug

4. Eclipse (software) @ Wikipedia

5. Eclipse Awards (nothing to do with us)

6. Eclipse (astronomy) @ Wikipedia

It's interesting that Eclipse (astronomy) is so overshadowed (pun) by our wonderful Eclipse OSS community.  This has at least one person irritated (see yellow edit suggesting the addition of a disambiguation on the Wikipedia page for Eclipse (software)).

Maybe we should try to lower our Google ranking to avoid irritating other budding astronomers.

The same problem is with the planet eclipse google search. Apparently paintball products are more popular. I would love to use feeling lucky button for opening planet eclipse but instead I'm offered some paint-war equipment.

What I find even more interesting is the discussion that's going on on that Wikipedia-Page "but what does it actually do ???". How would you describe Eclipse to someone like that anonymous person?

What does Eclipse do? Well, like all software, it does nothing. What it *is*, though, is explained perfectly well in the first sentence of the Wikipedia article itself: Eclipse is a multi-language software development platform comprising an IDE and a plug-in system to extend it.
